ER50-2 is a gas shielded copper plated welding wire that can be protected with CO2 or argon rich gas during welding. It can be used for single pass welding of killed steel, semi killed steel, and boiling steel, as well as for multi pass welding in certain situations. Due to the addition of deoxidizers, this filler metal can be used to weld steel with rust and dirt on the surface, but it may damage the quality of the weld seam, depending on the surface conditions.
